Adani Green Energy's net profit rose 15.9% year on year to 747 crore rupees in the quarter ended September 2026, according to Business Standard. Profit growth coincided with increases in income and power supply revenue, alongside an expansion in the company's sales and operational capacity. Total quarterly income reached 4,520 crore rupees, compared with 3,249 crore rupees in the quarter ended September 2025, the newspaper reported. That represents a 39% year-on-year increase in total income during the period. Power supply revenue specifically rose to 4,019 crore rupees in the second quarter of fiscal 2026/2027, according to an Adani Group statement. That revenue grew 45% from 2,776 crore rupees in the corresponding quarter of fiscal 2025/2026.

Year-on-year growth also extended to operating earnings in the power supply business, according to figures Adani Group released for the second quarter of fiscal 2026/2027. The business generated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation of 3,835 crore rupees, compared with 2,543 crore rupees a year earlier. The measure rose 51% year on year, outpacing power supply revenue growth in the same quarter. The company's reported cash profit measure also increased to 1,951 crore rupees from 1,348 crore rupees in the corresponding period, a gain of 45%. For comparison with the previous quarter, power supply earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation stood at 4,122 crore rupees in the June 2026 quarter. That quarter had itself recorded year-on-year growth of 33%, according to an earlier group statement, leaving the business's September-quarter earnings below their June level despite the annual increase.

On the operating front, quarterly power sales increased 33% year on year, according to Adani Group's statement. Sales reached 12,090 million units in the second quarter of fiscal 2026/2027, alongside an expanding base of operational projects. According to Adani Green Energy's earnings presentation, operational capacity stood at 20,763 megawatts at the end of September 2026. That represents year-on-year growth of 24%, with greenfield additions totalling 4,083 megawatts year on year. On spending, the company allocated 17,160 crore rupees to capital expenditure during the first half of fiscal 2026/2027, according to the same presentation.

On the balance sheet, Adani Green Energy's net debt stood at 102,973 crore rupees at the end of September 2026, according to its first-half earnings presentation. The company also reported a net debt-to-earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation ratio of 5.6 times at the end of the period, calculated on an annualised run-rate basis. That debt level comes alongside capital expenditure and the expansion of new projects during the first half. In its operating infrastructure, the results showed installed battery energy storage capacity reaching 6,632 megawatt-hours by the end of September. Storage development coincides with the company's monitoring of the availability of power transmission infrastructure in Khavda, according to comments by its chief executive reported by the Financial Express.

The chief executive said, according to the Financial Express: "We have significantly accelerated the development of battery energy storage systems to protect ourselves against transmission grid delays." He thus linked the acceleration of battery development to limiting the impact of power transmission grid delays on the company's operations. In its plans for fiscal 2026/2027, Adani Green Energy said it could exceed its battery storage capacity guidance of 10 gigawatt-hours. Over a longer horizon, Adani Group announced in early October 2026 that it aimed to reach storage capacity of 50 gigawatt-hours over the 5 years following the announcement. As for the next earnings announcement, the company lists its third-quarter fiscal 2026/2027 results meeting on its tentative schedule for 20 January 2027.
