Kongsberg Automotive said on 22 October 2026 that net profit rose to €6.4 million in the third quarter, from €1.6 million in the same period last year. Revenue increased to €185.2 million, compared with €162.9 million a year earlier. Operating profit before interest and taxes also rose to €9 million from €4.9 million. The margin on that profit was 4.8%, versus 3.0% in the third quarter of 2025. The company said revenue growth was mainly linked to stronger sales to North American commercial vehicle markets.

The improvement in profitability reflected revenue growth alongside a higher operating margin compared with the same period last year. The company attributed the improvement in operating profit to higher activity levels and better operating performance. The increase in revenue, it said, was driven mainly by stronger demand in North American commercial vehicle markets. Chief Executive Trond Fiskum said, "Measures taken over the past year are increasingly translating into tangible financial results." He added that the company would continue to raise its ambitions and execute with discipline, with the aim of building a more profitable, capital-efficient and resilient company.

Cash flow did not keep pace with the improvement in earnings, with net cash flow at €2.2 million in the third quarter. It had been €6.6 million in the same period last year. Net cash flow therefore declined year on year despite higher net profit and revenue. The comparison between the indicators presents a different picture of profitability and cash performance during the quarter. The company also announced that it had won new contracts and extended existing ones, with estimated lifetime revenue of €142 million.

Kongsberg Automotive said the new contracts were signed on better commercial and contractual terms. They add an estimated €142 million in lifetime revenue to the order intake the company announced during the quarter. In a move related to shareholder returns, the board adopted a new dividend policy on 21 October 2026. The policy aims, the company said, to provide shareholders with competitive and sustainable returns over time. The announcement cited here did not include a dividend amount or payment date.

Coverage published on 22 October cited a 4.72% rise in the stock to $2.04 in early trading, from $1.95. It attributed the share-price move to early trading on the day the results were published. The company had scheduled its third-quarter results presentation for 09:00 Central European Time on 22 October. The presentation was led by Chief Executive Trond Fiskum and Chief Financial Officer Erik Magnussen. The company said its fourth-quarter report would be released on 25 February 2027, which is also the date of its Capital Markets Day.
