Telix revenue rises 19% to $245 million in third quarter
Key Facts
Telix Pharmaceuticals reported revenue of US$245 million for the third quarter of 2026, up 19% from the same period a year earlier, driven by continued strong demand for its commercial portfolio. The company said in its earnings statement published through PR Newswire that precision medicine revenue reached $201 million, an increase of 30% year on year. Gozellix and Illuccix contributed to growth in the business, whose annual revenue growth outpaced that of the group over the same period. The chief executive linked U.S. dose volumes to what he described as "expected summer seasonality," pointing to strong sales momentum at the end of September. The company released the unaudited quarterly results alongside confirmation of its annual revenue guidance trajectory and a revision to its research and development spending range.
Compared with the previous quarter, group revenue was below the $247 million Telix reported for the second quarter of 2026, despite continued year-on-year growth. Second-quarter revenue had risen 7% from the preceding quarter and 21% year on year, according to the company's previous financial update. For the first half, group revenue totaled $477 million, up 22% from the corresponding period a year earlier. Telix reported a profit after tax of $38 million for that period, including $40 million in other income received from Regeneron. Annual revenue growth thus slowed in the third quarter compared with both the second quarter and the first half, while sales remained above year-earlier levels.
In its full-year outlook update, Telix reaffirmed that revenue was tracking toward the upper end of its guidance range of US$950 million to US$970 million for 2026. The company also revised its expected research and development spending range to between $240 million and $260 million, according to the quarterly performance statement. The previous range, published with the second-quarter update, was between $230 million and $270 million for the same year. The revision narrows the spending range at both ends, raising the previous lower bound and reducing the upper bound, rather than shifting the entire estimate in one direction. The company thus maintained its annual revenue guidance range while setting a narrower range for research spending during the year covered by the update.
On products, Telix added Pixclara to its commercial portfolio after it received U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval for imaging gliomas in the brain. In its product announcement, the company described it as "the only FDA-approved radiopharmaceutical for glioma imaging." The commercial launch has already begun, with patients receiving the first doses, according to Telix's statement on the start of use of the approved drug. Those doses were administered in both Cleveland and Indianapolis, bringing the product into commercial use for imaging this type of brain tumor. Pixclara thus adds glioma imaging to the company's commercial business, alongside the contributions of Gozellix and Illuccix to precision medicine revenue during the quarter.
The financial update also follows Telix's agreement announced in September 2026 for the ITM transaction, for which the company put the upfront consideration at about US$1.65 billion. Telix said in the agreement announcement that the consideration was calculated on a cash-free, debt-free basis for the target company. The agreement also includes additional contingent consideration of up to US$700 million, tied to regulatory approvals and sales milestones for ITM's therapy. The terms thus distinguish between the agreed upfront consideration and additional payments contingent on those milestones being met. The transaction remains subject to Telix shareholder approval, according to the announcement outlining the financial terms and expected arrangements for putting them to shareholders.
Looking ahead, Telix said it would hold a Capital Markets Day in Melbourne, Australia, on Wednesday, 4 November 2026. The company said the event would include updates on its commercial portfolio as part of the presentation scheduled for that day. Its announced program also includes updates on the development pipeline and growth opportunities, alongside the commercial product update. In connection with the ITM transaction, Telix expected to hold an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders during November 2026 to consider the transaction requiring their approval. The announced schedule gives shareholders a portfolio and pipeline update in early November, followed by the expected meeting later that month on the agreement.
