NEXTDC Shares Plunge 44% Following Major FY27 Earnings Guidance Cut
Key Facts
NEXTDC shares plunged 44% in early trading after the company slashed its earnings and revenue guidance for the 2027 fiscal year. Proactive Investors reported that the firm reduced its underlying EBITDA guidance to between A$245 million and A$265 million, down significantly from the previous range of A$385 million to A$410 million.
The downgrade was primarily triggered by electricity network delays from Jemena Electricity Networks, which deferred the availability of additional grid power for the M3 Melbourne facility until FY28. Chief Executive Craig Scroggie stated that the affected works are not expected to restart before February 2027, leading the company to halt all new development projects and land acquisitions to focus on existing contracted capacity.
