Neptune Insurance Holdings reported record revenue of $59.6 million in its third-quarter 2026 earnings statement released on October 20. The company said revenue rose 34% from the same period a year earlier, while net income also reached a record. Net income increased 50% year on year to $17.3 million, outpacing revenue growth during the period. Adjusted diluted earnings per share were $0.17, according to the company's statement published via Business Wire. Investing.com had reported in a preview published on the morning of the announcement that analysts expected earnings per share of $0.14 for the quarter ended in September.

The results followed a quarter in which the company posted record revenue of $55.9 million, according to its second-quarter earnings disclosure filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Annual revenue growth in that quarter was 33%, marking an acceleration in growth in the third quarter. Second-quarter net income was $15.8 million, a level the company also described as a record at the time. Profit for that period rose 36% year on year, before the latest acceleration in net income growth. The company said in its second-quarter earnings presentation that its adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization margin was 61.7%, up 165 basis points year on year.

Neptune operates as a data-driven managing general agent in the insurance business, according to its quarterly report filed with the U.S. regulator. The company sells residential and commercial insurance products covering risks including floods and earthquakes through a nationwide network of agencies in the United States. The model involves distributing products in collaboration with partner insurers and reinsurers, which assume the associated insurance risks. Neptune said in the report: "Neptune does not bear insurance risk on its balance sheet or responsibility for handling claims." The partner companies also handle claims, in addition to assuming the risks, according to Neptune's description of the allocation of responsibilities in its business model.

The company says its business is built on data science, artificial intelligence and proprietary machine learning algorithms, according to the same quarterly report. Neptune uses these technologies to assess risks associated with the insurance products it sells through its agency network. Their use also extends to pricing those products across the residential and commercial business described in the company's disclosure. On arrangements to secure insurance capacity, Neptune said in its second-quarter presentation that it had renewed and expanded its largest programs on improved economic terms. It said in that presentation: "We renewed and expanded our two largest insurance capacity programs," an operational development the company announced as part of its coverage of the previous period's results.

In trading around the second-quarter earnings announcement, Neptune shares were up 1.19% at $30.70 at the time of Investing.com's report published on July 22, 2026. The move came against the backdrop of the previous period's results, when the company announced record revenue and net income. That quarter's disclosures combined business growth with a year-on-year improvement in the adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization margin. Coverage of the results in July also coincided with the announcement of the company's forecasts for full-year revenue and adjusted operating profitability. The cited share price move relates to the second-quarter announcement, which preceded the third-quarter earnings disclosure released in October.

For the full year 2026, Neptune had set revenue guidance of $199 million in its second-quarter earnings presentation. The company said in the presentation filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission that the target represented annual growth of 25%. The earlier revenue guidance was accompanied by a target adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization margin of between 60% and 61%, according to Investing.com's coverage of the second-quarter results. These targets apply to the full year, while the reported second-quarter margin exceeded the annual range the company was targeting at the time. Those forecasts for the year ending in 2026 date to the July disclosure, when Neptune presented its annual targets alongside its second-quarter results.
