NEAR announced the launch of "NEAR Business" to manage treasuries for teams working with crypto assets, supporting assets across more than 35 blockchain networks, according to its official announcement. The product targets fund management and payments while keeping sensitive operational details private. NEAR identified the exposure of payroll, supplier payments and treasury balances on public networks among the problems the platform seeks to address. It said companies also face fragmentation across transfer, approval and accounting tools when managing crypto operations. The platform's launch thus combines handling assets across multiple networks with managing treasury processes spread across separate tools.

The announced swap fee is 0.35% and appears in the quote reviewed by authorized approvers before a transaction is approved, according to NEAR's announcement. The platform currently covers gas fees, the fees for executing transactions on the network, for the first 1,000 actions each month. Once that monthly allowance is exhausted, standard network fees apply to subsequent actions. The platform does not charge per user under the cost structure it announced for serving teams and managing their crypto treasuries. It also allows treasury transaction histories to be exported in CSV, Excel and JSON formats, providing records in files that can be used outside the treasury management interface.

Operationally, confidential balances, swaps and payments run on a confidential part of the NEAR network operated by independent, permissioned validators, according to the company. NEAR says the platform "holds no key or key share" belonging to the customer's treasury contract. The service supports signing with Ledger devices while enforcing the approval rules teams set for their operations. Team membership, roles and votes remain recorded on the blockchain, allowing treasury governance to be verified. Keeping these records verifiable is paired with maintaining payment confidentiality under the operating arrangement NEAR described in its product announcement.

Against the backdrop of expanding cross-chain services, NEAR said in an update dated 24 February 2026 that "Intents" had settled more than $13 billion in cumulative transactions. The update said revenue-sharing payments to distribution channels for the service are denominated in NEAR. On 11 March 2026, Brave announced the addition of "NEAR Intents" to its wallet, as the infrastructure was used in external products. Brave's announcement said cumulative transaction volume through the service had exceeded $14 billion across 35 networks. Those volumes relate to the cross-chain transfer service's activity during its expansion ahead of the new corporate treasury platform's launch.

In a subsequent report published on 8 July 2026, NEAR announced that cumulative volume through "Intents" had exceeded $20 billion, continuing to rise from the levels announced in February and March. The report also said confidential swaps accounted for 42% of swap volume on NEAR's website. It added that the value locked in the confidential environment had exceeded $30 million by late June 2026. The treasury platform comes amid services combining cross-chain transfers and transaction privacy, two areas covered in NEAR's earlier updates. EL7 had covered the launch of "Universal Send" to simplify cross-chain transfers and enhance privacy.

The platform's functions include batch payments for payroll, grants and supplier dues, according to NEAR's announcement. Teams can enter recipients manually or upload a CSV file to prepare these payments within the service. Access to the platform is currently available by invitation to a small group of teams, under the availability process announced by the company. Onboarding begins with a team submitting an application, followed by a walkthrough before access to the treasury tools is granted. The walkthrough includes setting up signing and identifying the networks the team uses in preparation for managing its operations through the platform.
