Bureau Veritas reported revenue of 1,569.7 million euros in the third quarter of 2026, with accelerating organic growth and positive contributions from changes in business scope and currencies. The company said in its quarterly results statement that revenue rose 10.1% from the same period a year earlier, supported by the growth components it disclosed. Organic growth, which represents underlying business activity in the company's breakdown of the revenue increase, was 6.2% for the quarter, making the largest contribution to the overall rise. This followed organic growth of 5.9% in the second quarter of 2026, according to the comparison provided in its latest disclosure. Changes in business scope added 1.8% to quarterly growth, as the positive impact of acquisitions outweighed the effect of disposals, according to the company's breakdown of the year-on-year increase.

Exchange-rate movements contributed 2.1% to revenue growth in the third quarter, adding to the increase from organic activity and changes in business scope. The company attributed the currency contribution mainly to the dollar's appreciation against the euro, which it identified as the reason for the positive foreign-exchange impact during the period. By division, Buildings and Infrastructure led performance with organic growth of 7.9% from the corresponding period, the fastest pace among the reported divisions. It was followed by Product Testing and Services, which recorded organic growth of 7.0% during the quarter, according to Bureau Veritas' statement on divisional revenue trends. Industry and Commodities posted organic growth of 5.1%, compared with 3.2% for Business Assurance, whose growth was below that of the other divisions.

The divisional performance was presented under a reporting structure comprising 4 divisions, according to the company, marking a change in how it presented its business results during the third quarter. The presentation excluded activities earmarked for exit, in line with the reporting approach Bureau Veritas adopted for its latest quarterly results. Geographically, operations in Africa and the Middle East delivered organic growth of 5.6% during the period, according to the group's detailed revenue statement. In critical assets, organic growth exceeded 40% in the third quarter of 2026, a rapid pace among the activities covered by the disclosure. The company attributed the performance of these activities to strong support from commissioning work, which it identified as a driver of the increase in critical assets during the quarter.

As part of its expansion plans, Bureau Veritas had previously raised its target for compound annual revenue growth at constant currencies in an update to its strategic ambitions at its Capital Markets Day. The target became double-digit growth for 2027–2028, up from the high-single-digit range, according to the company's announcement updating its targets. In markets and services linked to artificial intelligence, the group set a target of reaching revenue of 1 billion euros by 2030 as part of its future objectives. In parallel, it announced that it had secured global accreditation to provide verification services under the European Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, expanding the scope of its accredited services. The accreditation supports compliance services for importers under the European mechanism, according to Bureau Veritas' statement on obtaining the verification accreditation.

For the current year, the company had already raised its organic growth guidance before announcing third-quarter revenue, according to its previous quarterly performance statement. The earlier guidance had targeted growth in the mid-single-digit range, a level management revised in its update to the annual revenue outlook. The company then moved its target growth range to mid-to-high single digits as it reported a sequential improvement in organic growth. Bureau Veritas described the revision in its previous statement as targeting "mid-to-high-single-digit organic revenue growth." This guidance concerns annual organic growth, while the double-digit growth target announced at its Capital Markets Day concerns revenue at constant currencies for the subsequent period.

In its third-quarter update, Bureau Veritas maintained its annual organic growth outlook, retaining the range it had raised in its previous performance disclosure. The company said it still expected growth in the mid-to-high-single-digit range during 2026, according to its latest revenue statement. The revised annual guidance thus remained in place alongside the quarterly results and the group's longer-term targets for revenue and AI-related markets. The company set the next annual results announcement for 25 February 2027 in its financial calendar, according to the detailed appendix to the quarterly revenue statement. The announcement is scheduled for release before the market opens that day and will present results for the 2026 financial year following the latest disclosure of third-quarter revenue.
