Galliford Try has secured places on Pagabo's UK Major Works construction framework, which has an estimated total value of up to £5 billion, according to Investing.com and Pagabo. The appointment places the company on lot 4, covering projects worth between £30 million and £60 million each, according to Investing.com. Pagabo said the framework runs for 4 years and allows public-sector organisations to procure the expertise and capacity needed to deliver their projects. It named 56 suppliers to participate, bringing together multiple companies to carry out the work. The announced value is an estimate for the entire framework, with projects awarded through subsequent call-off contracts, and does not represent a contract of that value for Galliford Try or guaranteed revenue for the company.

Public procurement organisation YPO serves as the contracting authority, while Pagabo acts as managing agent, overseeing the framework, supplier relationships and day-to-day client support, according to YPO. Pagabo describes the framework's purpose as helping public bodies procure "the expertise and delivery capacity their projects need". It allows organisations to obtain free feasibility advice from contractors on costs, funding and scheduling before committing to construction. This advice also covers sustainability, risks and technical design for planned projects. The Pagabo Plus platform will be used to manage project opportunities and call-off contracts under the framework, alongside performance monitoring, reporting and compliance. Previous versions of the Major Works framework have helped deliver construction projects worth more than £3 billion, according to Pagabo.

The appointment follows growth in Galliford Try's annual results, with the company reporting revenue of £1.93 billion in its latest results summary. Revenue rose 3.0% from the previous year, according to figures published on the company's website. Adjusted pretax profit reached £55.9 million, according to its annual results statement. That profit rose 24.2% year on year, outpacing the reported revenue growth rate for the same period. The company said its order book reached a record £4.3 billion.

On profitability, Galliford Try reported that its margin rose to 3.5% in its annual results. It said this represented an improvement of 53 basis points over the year. The company described the development as progress towards its target of a 4.0% margin by 2030. On dividends, the results summary showed the total annual dividend per share rose to 23.5 pence. The dividend per share increased 23.7% from the previous year, according to the company.

Galliford Try also participates in other construction procurement frameworks separate from the new Major Works framework. The company previously announced that it had secured places on Pagabo's national Civil Engineering and Infrastructure framework, which has a total value of £4.3 billion. It secured places on 82 lots under that framework, according to its announcement. On 5 October 2026, the company also announced its appointment to the latest version of the Constructing West Midlands framework. That separate framework has an overall value of £3 billion, according to Galliford Try's statement.

Galliford Try shares rose 4.7% on 17 September 2026, according to Investing.com. That move coincided with the announcement of annual results and a share buyback plan, on an earlier occasion separate from the Major Works framework appointment. Pagabo confirmed that the new framework is now available free of charge to all public-sector organisations. Galliford Try's financial calendar lists its annual general meeting for 12 November 2026. This is followed by the scheduled final dividend payment on 4 December 2026.
