Ripple Partners with Privy to Integrate AI-Powered Payments on XRPL
Key Facts
Ripple signed a partnership with Stripe-owned Privy to integrate AI-driven payment and embedded wallet solutions into the XRP Ledger (XRPL). u.today reported that the integration allows developers to build payment applications using XRP and the RLUSD stablecoin without requiring users to manage private keys, utilizing the x402 protocol for automated software-to-software transactions.
The partnership follows a significant rise in automated activity, with the XRPL processing approximately 13 million payments from AI agents as of October 2026. By leveraging Privy’s programmable wallet technology, developers can now enable AI agents to autonomously purchase digital goods such as API access and computational power, positioning the ledger as a primary settlement network for machine-to-machine commerce.
