PancakeSwap Proposes 88% LP Fee Share and 69% CAKE Emission Cut
Key Facts
1PancakeSwap proposed allocating 88% of trading fees to liquidity providers.
2The proposal includes a 69% cut in CAKE token emissions to support a deflationary trend.
PancakeSwap proposed allocating 88% of trading fees from its v3 and Infinity pools directly to liquidity providers, Crypto Briefing reported. The governance proposal also includes a total cut of approximately 69% in CAKE token emissions to support the protocol's deflationary trend and enhance long-term value.
The move aims to strengthen existing deflationary mechanics, with the protocol recording 37 consecutive months of net burns since September 2023. Under the plan, the remaining share of fees would be routed to the treasury, while CAKE burns from v2 pools remain unaffected to maintain the reduction in total supply, which fell from 392 million tokens in September 2023 to about 330 million.
