PR Newswire reported that the European cinema operator now manages a network of 134 cinemas representing 1,474 screens and approximately 230,000 seats across nine countries, according to a company statement.
The transaction, which closed on September 11, 2026, focuses on expanding the group's presence in Massachusetts and New York. Kinepolis currently operates a portfolio of premium brands including Landmark Cinemas in Canada, alongside MJR Theatres and Emagine in the United States, supported by a workforce of more than 5,000 employees.
