Ballard Power Systems announced an order for 24 FCrail 200 kW fuel cell modules from Siemens Mobility GmbH. PR Newswire reported that the modules will power a fleet of 12 hydrogen trains in Romania with a total capacity of 4.8MW, marking the largest deployment of the Mireo Plus H platform to date.

BLDP closed at $2.06 on October 6, 2026, while SIEGY closed at $156.64 on the same date. The order is part of a project to deploy zero-emission hydrogen rail transport in Romania, utilizing fuel cell technology as a direct replacement for diesel engines on non-electrified rail lines to provide long-range capabilities and fast refueling.
