Ripple announced a partnership with CSD BR to integrate XRP Ledger technology into Brazil's BRL 22 trillion asset system. Bitcoin.com reported that the collaboration aims to bring asset tokenization to Brazil's regulated financial infrastructure, focusing initially on investment fund shares from the investment bank BTG Pactual.

The project is designed to test blockchain's ability to improve transparency, traceability, and automation within the existing regulated market framework. Ripple provides the blockchain infrastructure while CSD BR, an operator authorized by the Central Bank of Brazil, manages the registration of financial instruments and the safeguarding of ownership records.
