Ondo Launches 3 Tokenized Portfolios Using BlackRock-Developed Strategies

Key Facts

1Ondo launched its first 3 Intelligent Portfolios on September 24, 2026, using strategies BlackRock developed for it.
2Ondo manages the portfolios, while BlackRock’s role is limited to supplying nondiscretionary investment models.
3ONDO is a governance token separate from the portfolio tokens that provide economic exposure to asset baskets.

Ondo Finance launched the first 3 of its Intelligent Portfolios on September 24, 2026, using strategies BlackRock developed for Ondo. The products are BLKHIon for income, BLKDIGon for diversified growth and BLKGRWon for high growth. Each token provides economic exposure to a portfolio of tokenized assets without requiring investors to buy every holding separately. The products are intended for eligible investors outside the United States in permitted jurisdictions. The launch puts BlackRock’s portfolio design inside products managed and operated by Ondo, which remains responsible for implementation.

Ondo’s product page lists 7 portfolios: 3 based on BlackRock strategies and 4 with different designs. The lineup spans income, asset allocation and thematic exposure, making Intelligent Portfolios a broader category than the BlackRock-linked products alone. That distinction matters when comparing tokens, because a shared technical structure does not imply identical assets or risks. Choosing between an income portfolio and a growth portfolio starts with their holdings and weights, rather than how their tokens move between wallets. Ondo publishes product names and descriptions on a dedicated page that helps investors compare the range before selecting a token.

A portfolio token represents one position tracking a weighted basket of Ondo Stocks, the tokenized shares and exchange-traded funds Ondo says are backed by corresponding securities at a 1:1 ratio. An eligible investor can mint or redeem the portfolio token instead of placing a separate trade for every holding. Product rules set target weights and rebalancing, with smart contracts making adjustments on a defined schedule. Ondo says dividends associated with the underlying assets are automatically reinvested within the structure. The token’s performance therefore depends on changes in the basket’s value and the application of its weights, rather than the strategy name alone.

BlackRock’s specified role is to supply nondiscretionary model strategies developed to Ondo’s specifications. Ondo manages, sponsors and operates the portfolios, while Ondo Global Markets issues their tokens and Ondo Finance provides tokenization services. The offering terms say BlackRock makes no investment decisions for the portfolios and does not manage token issuance, custody or distribution. An operating portfolio can also differ from BlackRock’s model and may not be updated whenever market conditions change. This division of responsibilities matters for risk assessment: BlackRock’s design of a model does not guarantee a portfolio’s execution or returns.

BLKHIon’s published composition shows how products can differ even within the BlackRock-based group. Its displayed allocation divides exposure among aggregate bonds at 32.0%, high-yield bonds at 30.0%, credit at 24.0% and other assets at 14.0%. Ondo also lists 9 underlying assets, each with its own portfolio weight. Those details help an investor identify potential sources of income and sensitivity to credit and interest-rate risk. When a component changes value, its effect on the portfolio reflects its weight, which a later scheduled rebalance may adjust under the product rules.

BLKDIGon and BLKGRWon put growth at the center of the other portfolio designs, with Ondo distinguishing diversified growth from high growth. Those labels alone cannot establish expected volatility or whether either product suits a particular holder. A useful comparison requires the published constituents, weights and rebalancing schedule, because those features determine the economic exposure represented by each token. Ondo says constituents, weights and every rebalance are visible onchain. That transparency gives investors a way to monitor a portfolio’s actual composition, while changes in the underlying assets can still change its value.

ONDO is a governance token carrying rights in the Ondo DAO, according to the Ondo Foundation; it is not one of the new portfolio tokens. The foundation describes governance rights involving Flux Finance and the DAO’s resources. A portfolio token, by comparison, provides economic exposure to the basket it tracks under the product’s terms. An ONDO holder therefore needs to distinguish growth in Ondo’s product business from a direct economic claim on each portfolio it launches. Product adoption may influence expectations for the ecosystem, but the governance token’s stated rights are the starting point for assessing that effect.

Ondo says portfolio tokens can move among wallets, exchanges and decentralized-finance applications, subject to eligibility and jurisdictional restrictions. It lists availability on Ethereum and BNB Chain and identifies Solana as a planned later venue. Transferability lets a holder move a token outside conventional market hours, while the value of its holdings remains connected to shares and funds in those markets. The ability to transfer at any hour should therefore not be confused with a fixed execution price or assured liquidity at a desired price. Redemption and execution terms matter when comparing this structure with direct ownership of its underlying assets.

The offering terms also specify that a portfolio-token holder has economic exposure without a direct claim on the funds or securities underlying the basket. That detail defines the relationship with BlackRock assets: they provide an economic reference for some products, while the investor’s rights arise under a token issued by Ondo. The implemented portfolio may differ from its model strategy, and Ondo controls operation and rebalancing. Investors should compare the stated exposure with the published holdings rather than assume they always match because of an asset manager’s name. The distinction between ONDO and a portfolio token likewise determines the rights attached to each.

Ondo intends to expand the portfolio line, but its launch announcement sets no date for additional products. Published holdings, weights and rebalances will provide direct measures of whether each portfolio follows its stated design. Delivery of the planned Solana availability will also show whether access broadens as the company expects. For portfolio investors, the key test is whether the structure delivers its intended exposure with clear execution terms. For ONDO holders, any lasting effect of the launch must be assessed through the governance token’s own rights and future decisions affecting them.
