Everpure shares, trading as P, led S&P 500 gainers on September 24 after the company issued preliminary fiscal FY2028 revenue guidance of $7.0 billion to $7.3 billion. The company announced the range at its September 23 analyst meeting and reaffirmed its fiscal FY2027 guidance at the same time. The new range gives investors a measurable sales target for management’s expansion in data storage and management. The regular-session advance came the day after the announcement, following a rise in extended trading after the September 23 close. The question for investors is whether Everpure can convert opportunities with large customers into revenue and operating income on the scale implied by its outlook.

Everpure’s FY2028 revenue range represents expected annual growth of 39% to 45% from fiscal FY2027, according to the company. Management also projects non-GAAP operating income of $1.7 billion to $1.9 billion, an annual increase of 80% to 100%. That projected profit growth exceeds the projected sales growth, making the conversion of additional revenue into operating earnings central to the investment case. These are preliminary targets for a future year, however, rather than realized results or a statement that equivalent revenue has already been contracted. Investors therefore need to track both the sales delivered and how much of those sales remains after operating costs under the company’s adjusted measure.

The outlook matters for P because a growth company’s value depends in part on the future earnings investors expect its sales to produce. If adjusted operating income rises faster than revenue, as the FY2028 ranges suggest, each additional unit of sales could contribute more to profit. That outcome requires the business to expand without a matching increase in the costs of developing products, selling them and serving customers. Higher spending or slower customer orders could instead allow revenue to rise while operating income falls short of the target. Reading the profit range alongside the revenue range therefore tests the efficiency of management’s planned growth; neither range is a guaranteed result.

Everpure divided its expansion plan into 4 areas: its core business and related AI products, modern data software, Scale AI, and solutions for hyperscale customers. The company expects the 3 newer areas, excluding the core business, to generate about 20% of total revenue by FY2030. That mix matters because the FY2028 target relies on a contribution from established operations as well as businesses the company is still expanding. Everpure says research and development averaged 19% of annual revenue over the past 5 years on a non-GAAP basis. The relevant test is whether that spending produces sales and earnings as the new areas develop, rather than the spending level by itself.

Everpure’s Q2 FY2027 results show the starting point more clearly: revenue was about $1.2 billion, up 38% from the year-earlier quarter. Product revenue reached $687 million, up 54%, while subscription-services revenue was $499 million, up 20%. The different growth rates show that products drove the faster expansion in that quarter, while subscriptions added an ongoing services base. The company reported non-GAAP operating income of $230 million, compared with operating income of $63 million under generally accepted accounting principles. Future adjusted operating-income targets should be compared with the same adjusted measure, while the accounting result remains a distinct view of profitability.

On September 23, Everpure reaffirmed the FY2027 guidance it had raised with its August 26 results; it did not announce another increase. The reaffirmed revenue range is $5.03 billion to $5.07 billion, versus $4.41 billion to $4.51 billion before the August revision. Its non-GAAP operating-income target remains $940 million to $960 million, up from the previous range of $820 million to $860 million. Holding the nearer-term targets gives investors a comparison base for the higher FY2028 outlook, but does not make the following year’s targets certain. Results within the FY2027 ranges would make the company’s projected growth in the subsequent year easier to assess against a defined starting point.

Everpure had about $4.1 billion in remaining performance obligations at the end of Q2 FY2027, up 44% from a year earlier; these represent contractual commitments that have not all become recognized revenue. Subscription annual recurring revenue reached $2.1 billion, up 20%, providing a separate measure of the subscription business. The first figure helps frame contracted future work, while the second describes the recurring-revenue run rate at the measurement date. Growth in either figure does not mean its entire amount will appear in FY2028 sales, because performance and revenue-recognition timing determine the accounting result. Tracking both alongside reported revenue gives a more useful test of the growth plan than treating either number as conclusive on its own.

P closed the September 23 regular session at $109.65, according to EL7 data, before rising in extended trading and leading S&P 500 gainers on September 24. Everpure had joined the index effective September 21, making comparison with its constituents directly relevant from that date. The sharp advance shows the market’s response to the new targets and also raises the level of execution that investors may demand to support the share price. For a holder or prospective buyer, the issue is how much growth and profit the company can deliver relative to the price paid. A bearish position likewise depends on a demonstrable gap between expectations and execution, rather than the size of the price move alone.

Everpure’s Q3 FY2027 report will provide the next operating check on its trajectory; the company has guided for quarterly revenue of $1.325 billion to $1.335 billion. That range implies annual growth of 37% to 38%, alongside projected non-GAAP operating income of $265 million to $275 million. When published, the results will show whether near-term sales growth remains consistent with the reaffirmed FY2027 guidance and preliminary FY2028 range. The split between product and subscription growth, together with adjusted profitability, will say more than a comparison of total revenue with the stated range alone. Slower performance on those measures or a change in guidance would alter the basis for the optimism that followed the September announcement.
