Bitmine Raises ETH Holdings to 5.98 Million, Equal to 4.9% of Supply
Key Facts
Bitmine Immersion Technologies said its holdings reached 5,983,940 ETH, or 5.98 million, as of 9:00 p.m. Eastern time on September 20, 2026. The company said that represented 4.9% of Ethereum's 122.1 million ETH supply.
The company's reported cryptocurrency, cash, marketable securities and other investments totaled $17.1 billion. The portfolio included $714 million in cash and marketable securities, 212 BTC, and two equity investments valued at $180 million and $105 million.
Bitmine had staked 5,067,309 ETH, equal to 85% of its 5.98 million ETH balance, and valued the position at $13.6 billion using a reference price of $2,688 per ETH. It reported a 7-day annualized yield of 2.62%; staking can add income, but asset value and returns remain exposed to the ETH price, protocol risks and slashing.
The company acquired 27,562 ETH in the week before the disclosure and said it had bought ETH every week since June 30, 2025. Its current holdings put Bitmine at 98% of its stated goal of owning 5% of ETH supply within 15 months.
The company's common stock trades under BMNR, while BMNP represents its Series A perpetual preferred stock. That distinction means BMNP's price should not be presented as the performance of Bitmine's common shares.
