Strategy bought 950 BTC for about $75.7 million between September 14 and September 20, paying an average $79,670 per coin including fees and expenses. The transaction lifted the company's holdings to 846,000 BTC, according to its regulatory filing.

During the same period, the company spent $174 million repurchasing 1,771,238 STRC preferred shares, more than twice its Bitcoin outlay. Both transactions were funded from its dollar cash, and Strategy sold no shares through its at-the-market programs during the week.

BTCUSD closed at $86,184.01 on September 22, about 8.2% above Strategy's $79,670 average purchase price. A higher Bitcoin price increases the market value of the company's holdings, but the effect on MSTR is not one-for-one because the shares also reflect debt, preferred securities, cash, and the market premium or discount to net asset value.

MSTR closed at $168.50 on September 21, according to EL7 data. Strategy retains $875.1 million of authorization for preferred-security repurchases and a separate $1 billion authorization for MSTR buybacks, making future cash-allocation decisions an important factor alongside Bitcoin's path.
