Bloom Energy, Illumina and Everpure to Join S&P 500 on September 21, 2026

Key Facts
S&P Dow Jones Indices said Bloom Energy, Illumina and Everpure will join the S&P 500 before trading opens on Monday, September 21, 2026, as part of the quarterly rebalance of its U.S. indices.
Bloom Energy, ticker BE and classified in Industrials, will replace Molson Coors Beverage. Everpure, ticker P and classified in Information Technology, will replace The Trade Desk, while Illumina, ticker ILMN and classified in Health Care, will replace Builders FirstSource.
Everpure and Illumina will move from the S&P MidCap 400 to the S&P 500. Molson Coors Beverage, The Trade Desk and Builders FirstSource will move from the S&P 500 to the S&P SmallCap 600.
The review also includes changes to the S&P 100, S&P MidCap 400 and S&P SmallCap 600 alongside the S&P 500. The index provider said the changes make each index more representative of the market-cap range it covers.
The S&P 500 comprises 500 companies and uses float-adjusted market-cap weighting. Each constituent's weight therefore reflects the market value of shares available for public trading, under the index methodology.
Membership changes may prompt S&P 500-tracking portfolios to adjust holdings near implementation. However, S&P Dow Jones Indices research covering 1995 through June 2021 concluded that the index effect appeared to be in structural decline, so inclusion does not guarantee a particular price path.
EL7 data show Bloom Energy (BE) closed the September 4, 2026 session at $252.87, within a range of $235.55 to $253.30.
