In a move reflecting growing confidence in tech-driven mobility solutions, Swvl has announced a definitive securities purchase agreement for a $13 million private placement. Coefficient LP, an investment firm backed by the Sawiris family, led the round with a $10 million commitment. This capital injection is intended to anchor Swvl's next phase of growth and facilitate its strategic expansion into the United States market.

According to analyst reports, Coefficient LP is set to become Swvl's largest institutional shareholder upon the closing of the transaction. The investment arrives as the company strengthens its international footprint, currently serving corporate and government clients across markets including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and the UK. As part of the agreement, Abdalla Ali, Founder and Managing Partner of Coefficient, will join Swvl's Board of Directors.

Operationally, analyst data shows the company grew revenue by 68% year-over-year to $8.2 million in the first quarter of 2026, while operating expenses fell to 23% of revenue. While real-time price data for SWVL is currently unavailable, investors are looking toward the official closing of the deal on August 27, 2026, as a primary catalyst for the company's future trajectory.
