Sign InBlue Energy and GE Vernova have announced a strategic collaboration to develop the world's first hybrid power plant integrating gas and nuclear energy in Texas. The project is specifically designed to meet the massive energy demands of AI data centers, aiming to deliver 1 GW of gas-fired power by 2030. By 2032, the facility plans to transition to small modular reactors (SMR) to reach a total capacity of 1.5 GW. Blue Energy has already secured approval from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regarding the construction plan for the combined site.
