Eaton (ETN) has announced a strategic investment of over $30 million to establish a new manufacturing facility in Nebraska, focused on increasing the production of medium-voltage switchgear. The 370,000-square-foot facility will be located in Bellevue and is expected to create over 200 new jobs in engineering and production. This expansion directly addresses the surging demand from nearly 3,000 AI data centers currently planned or under construction across the United States. Production at the new site is slated to begin in the first half of 2027, helping to mitigate equipment shortages caused by rapid infrastructure growth. The new equipment is critical for protecting and controlling complex electrical systems within data centers and utility networks. Analysts expect this capacity boost to solidify Eaton's position as a key beneficiary of the ongoing AI-driven infrastructure boom.
