Québec Innovative Materials Corp. (QIMC) has announced significant results from its geochemical soil-gas survey at the Cumberland Basin project in Nova Scotia. The survey identified notable anomalies of helium, methane, and other hydrocarbons within the New-Salem area. A 1.5 km-long section was defined, crosscutting the faulted contact between the Rapid Brook and Ragged Reef Formations. These findings were independently verified by GeoFrontiers, providing additional credibility to the exploration data. The discovery highlights the resource potential near a major normal fault in the western part of the basin. Investors are closely monitoring the company's progress as these results could drive further exploration and development activities in the region.
