USA₮ Stablecoin Expands to Celo Network to Boost Digital Dollar Access

Anchorage Digital has officially launched the USA₮ stablecoin on the Celo network, which operates as an Ethereum Layer-2 scaling solution. Google Cloud will provide critical infrastructure support for the rollout, ensuring a robust environment for the stablecoin's integration within Celo's mobile-first ecosystem. This strategic move leverages Celo's infrastructure to reach 4.23 million weekly active users, featuring native gas functionality for direct transaction settlements. The network has demonstrated significant scale, with 14 million MiniPay registrations and over 420 million transactions processed to date. As a federally compliant and regulated asset, USA₮ is expected to significantly enhance liquidity and utility for digital dollar users. Analysts view the partnership with Google Cloud and Anchorage Digital as a major validation of Celo’s position in the regulated digital payments space.
