Sintana Energy has announced a significant 57% increase in the contingent resource estimates for the Mopane oil complex offshore Namibia. The gross 3C contingent resources have been revised upward from 875 million barrels to approximately 1.38 billion barrels of oil equivalent. This upgrade follows successful appraisal and drilling activities conducted by the project operator, Galp Energia, within the PEL 83 license area. As a result of this revision, Sintana’s net interest in the project now stands at roughly 67 million barrels of oil equivalent. The substantial increase underscores the commercial potential of the Namibian assets and validates the company's exploration strategy. Investors view this development as a major valuation driver for Sintana Energy across its multiple listed platforms.
