Sign InGnosis and Zisk have officially announced the launch of the ‘Ethereum Economic Zone’ (EEZ) rollup framework during the EthCC conference in Cannes. This initiative, co-funded by the Ethereum Foundation, specifically aims to resolve the critical issue of Layer 2 (L2) fragmentation. The project, dubbed ‘easy,’ promises to provide synchronous composability across Layer 1 (L1) and Layer 2s (L2s) to create a more unified infrastructure. Crucially, this synchronous composability is achieved without the use of bridges or experiencing transaction delays, enabling seamless cross-layer interactions. Major industry partners including Aave, Titan, and Centrifuge have joined the collaboration to build robust and interoperable scaling solutions. Analysts view this technical advancement as a significant step for Ethereum’s long-term utility, potentially boosting the value of ETH, GNO, and AAVE. The framework is designed to streamline rollup deployment while maintaining the highest security and efficiency standards within the ecosystem.
