Alstom has officially extended its partnership with Ontario's Metrolinx agency for an additional five-year period. The renewed contract is valued at approximately €800 million ($1.3 billion CAD) and is set to run until 2031. Under the agreement, Alstom will remain responsible for the operation and maintenance of the GO Transit and UP Express fleets in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. This extension reinforces Alstom's long-standing relationship with the public transport agency and ensures service continuity for the region's transit networks. The deal provides significant long-term revenue visibility and strengthens the company's market position in the North American railway sector. Investors view this development as a positive step in securing steady cash flows through high-value service contracts.
