Micron Technology has officially finalized the acquisition of the P5 manufacturing site from Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (PSMC) in Taiwan. Located in Tongluo, Miaoli County, the facility marks a significant expansion of Micron's production footprint in the region. The site is designed to function as a strategic extension of the company's vertically integrated mega campus in Taichung, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. This move follows the initial acquisition agreement that was first announced on January 17, 2026. By integrating this new site, Micron aims to strengthen its manufacturing capacity within a critical global semiconductor hub to support long-term growth. The completion of this deal underscores Micron's commitment to scaling its infrastructure to meet the evolving demand for memory and storage solutions.
